The Buddha Who Wears Blue
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, father of the Indian constitution and social reformer, dedicated many years of his life to spiritual journeying and the discovery of a religious thought that would provide the self-determination his people deserved. It was through this that Babasaheb (as he is fondly addressed) ushered the Dalit Buddhist movement in order to renounce Hinduism and its rigid caste system.
The color of the Ambedkarite movement is a deep, striking blue—it is sported on flags, scarves, sashes, and even the Dhammachakra of Buddhist King Ashoka. Here, Buddha himself wears Blue, lovingly adorned and revitalized by Ambedkar's pen of revolution, from which another Bodhi tree springs forth.
*Only available in letter (8.5x11) and poster (11x14) sizes.
